Meet {Brian}
After working as an investment/financial advisor/planner for 25 years, I “ate my own cooking” along the way, and attained financial independence before I was 50. After enjoying an early retirement for a time, I came to miss helping clients navigate their financial lives. In the advice-only/fee only space I have found a medium by which I can better focus on directly helping clients oversee their investments and financial plan by themselves.
A graduate of the U.S Military Academy at West Point, I served in the 101st Airborne Division (Rakkasans) as a light infantry officer – following in the footsteps of military service modeled to me by both of my grandfathers, each of whom served in WWII.
I was fortunate to have found a second father in my maternal grandfather, who lived until age 102, and mentored me like his own son. We were pen pals (yes, exchanging real letters written in cursive) most of my life. I’m grateful for his influence in my life.
Most days, I take some time to sit on my deck and listen to my favorite music genre – 80’s music.
I am a dedicated Miracle Morning practitioner – see link to Hal Elrod’s website.
I have been married to my beautiful wife, Cordia for twenty years, and am a father to two amazing daughters. I enjoy canoeing the James River with my family, traveling traveling the U.S., and target shooting from time to time – a carryover from my time in the military.
While I have served and respect people from all walks of life, folks with traditional, family values tend to relate best to me as I share those same values.
